Summary: Mind Map Part 1
I am passionate about moving forward, helping and uplifting others, communication, and organization. Every action I take is dictated by these passions, as they bring me and the people around me happiness and comfort. Based on these passions, I would likely do well with an organization-focused job, such as an event planner, manager, or accountability officer. In 6-9 months, I would like to have a more concrete plan of what path I want to take moving forward. This includes major choice, internships, research, study abroad, and more. As I go through this process, I will also prioritize making as many valuable connections as I can. In 1-3 years, I would like to have found full-time employment or internship within a company that has potential to nurture me for the rest of my career. By then, I also would like to have gained more confidence in my career and feel happy and/or content with the line of work I chose. I also want to have a wage above the minimum, preferably enough to sustain myself without much of my parents' assistance at the very least. My greatest strengths are my adaptability/flexibility, empathy, communication, and professionalism in any environment. However, I am lacking in my decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, proactivity, and optimism, especially in a high-stress, demanding environment or situation. As for my role models, I greatly admire my sister (Joyce), my father (Carlos), and my best friend (Brandon). They all overcame many hardships with great optimism, focus, and hard work. They are all forward-thinking and highly independent. They also have core values that rarely waver in the face of conflicts and obstacles. They also each have their own unique qualities that I admire. My sister constantly strives for what makes her happy and healthy. She has an iron will and knows when she needs to stand up for herself. My father, despite his age, remains energetic and ambitious. He is confident in his skills and has a drive to succeed like none other I’ve seen before. Finally, my best friend is a quick and rational decision-maker. He reads others well and makes an exceptional team leader. He is also very observant, down to every minute detail one could imagine.

Summary: Mind Map Part 2
This second Mind Map represents my motivations, resources, and goals for the present and future. The reason why I am in the hospitality industry is because I strive to bring smiles to the people around me, regardless of whether they are part of my family or a stranger. I also wish to achieve a level of job security and financial stability so that I can live comfortably while being able to provide support to my loved ones. To achieve that goal, I must complete my hospitality degree at SDSU while utilizing my network to get closer to the ideal job that I want, which I do not know for certain at this moment. I currently work at THE US GRANT, A Luxury Collection Hotel, and it has opened my eyes to the world of hotels and expanded my potential future job considerations. I do know that I want my ideal future job to hold the core values of integrity and employee care and consideration. I want the internal culture to also be open and welcoming to new ideas and suggestions through constant empowerment, encouragement, and respect of employees, regardless of whether or not they are in the same department. They also need to share my main motivation of wanting to make a positive impact on people's lives in some way. While on this journey, I want to become my own ideal leader - a leader who is able to make critical and creative decisions in times of adversity, lead their team with proper support and training, and be able to envision and maintain a positive outlook and motivate their team to grow through leadership by example.
